Welcome to Calle Mayor Middle School
Our commitment to students and community remains: embracing all that middle school represents for our students- a time of growth, discovery and exploration; where students challenge themselves and others to become stronger; where our students live with purpose and act with intent; where, in the spirit of cooperation, our students will excel and prepare themselves for the rigors of middle school and things to come.
It has been said that not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced. This year, Calle Mayor is changing… transforming. Yes, Calle Mayor is facing that which will allow us to become transformational. We are determined to become transformational leaders with a clear sense of purpose, value-driven with high expectations, unwilling to believe in failure and courageously taking risks, for the benefit of our students. Transformational leaders that raise one another’s achievements and motivations to levels that otherwise might have been impossible, responding to the specific, unique educational needs of our students.
Join us for the 2011-2012 school year as our staff and students “Become Transformational”. My hope, desire and expectation is that each student will have a rewarding experience being empowered and increasing in their capacity to learn as they become a transformational generation.
